NEXT LESSON (Paying for the item)

Lesson 6 - Paymate

Paymate is another method for paying for items via credit cards between Australia, USA, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

PAYPAL is the most common method of paying for items on eBay but it is slowly being exploited.  PAYPAL has been slow to close loopholes and in some instances are not interested in closing them, much to sellers annoyance.

I won't be revealing any unscrupulous methods to use with PAYPAL here so please don't ask.

Paymate is the same as PAYPAL as they both have your credit card on file and draw on that card in order to pay the seller of your item.  This means the seller never sees your credit card number.

You don't need an account in order to make payments but you do need one to receive payments.
Fees are split between the buyer and seller but overall they are slightly less than PAYPAL.

Please note that I don't have a Paymate account but will be setting one up soon.
